Free flight tracker widget for your website

Show the aircraft flying over your area, live, on any web page. Pick the area, size and look below, copy the embed code, and paste it into your site. The map updates every few seconds with positions from the AvioADSB network of community ADS-B receivers.

The small AvioADSB banner is part of the free widget. Compact mode keeps only the logo, the live count and one link, and switches on by itself when the widget is narrow.

How to add the flight tracker to your site

  1. Choose the area. Pan and zoom the preview to your town, airport or region, or press “Use my location”.
  2. Set the size and look. Full width suits most layouts; 400–500 px is a good height. Pick a map style and accent colour that match your site.
  3. Copy the code with the Copy button.
  4. Paste it into your page as HTML. That's it: no account, no API key, no script to install.

What you get

Live aircraft positions

Planes move every few seconds, pointing where they're heading. Hover or tap one for its callsign, altitude and speed.

Light on your page

It loads lazily, only fetches the aircraft in view, and pauses when the visitor switches tabs.

No cookies, no tracking

The widget sets no cookies and runs no analytics, so it adds nothing to your cookie banner.

Fits your design

Three map styles, light or dark banner, your accent colour, any size. Works on phones.

Scroll-friendly

Visitors scroll past it normally; zooming needs Ctrl + scroll or two fingers, so the map never traps the page.

Free

No account, no key, no limits on page views, for personal and business sites alike.

Few planes in your area?

The map can only show aircraft that a nearby station receives. A small ADS-B receiver (a Raspberry Pi, an RTL-SDR dongle and a 1090 MHz antenna) fills in your area for your widget and for everyone else, and gets you a free API key.

Flight tracker widget FAQ

Is the flight tracker widget really free?

Yes. There is no account, API key or page-view limit, and it is free for any website. The aircraft data comes from volunteers' receivers.

Can I use it on a commercial website?

Yes. Businesses, airports, travel and aviation sites can embed the widget for free, as long as the code is unmodified and the AvioADSB banner stays visible (see our terms). This covers showing the map only: using the API or the data itself for a commercial product still needs a commercial agreement.

Can I remove the AvioADSB banner?

No, the banner is how the free widget credits the receiver network. Compact mode makes it as small as possible.

Will it slow down my site?

No. The iframe loads lazily (only when it scrolls into view), runs separately from your page, only asks for aircraft in its own view, and stops updating when the tab is hidden.

Does it set cookies or need a consent banner?

The widget sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Map tiles come from OpenFreeMap, which receives the visitor's IP address like any image request; see our data processors.

Why don't I see every aircraft?

The map shows what the AvioADSB network receives. Coverage depends on volunteer stations; check the coverage map, and consider adding a receiver near you.

I need the data itself, not a map.

Use the free ADS-B API. Please don't scrape the widget's feed; it is rate-limited and meant for the map only.
